Rhys joined KEW Planning in July 2023 as a part-time Planning Assistant while completing his undergraduate studies. He graduated from Cardiff University with a First-Class Honours degree in Human Geography and Planning in 2025 and has since progressed to the role of Graduate Planner. Rhys is continuing his professional development by studying part-time for a master’s degree in Planning at Cardiff University alongside his work at KEW Planning.
Rhys now leads on a varied portfolio of projects across the commercial, education and residential sectors. His experience includes industrial and retail developments for Loc8, additional works across several Coleg Cymoedd campuses, and a range of new housing schemes for a private developer in South Wales.
He brings strong research, analytical and presentation skills to his work, together with an organised and collaborative approach to managing projects and supporting clients throughout the planning process.
